This page is dedicated to the favorite bishounen of the month, as decided by our panel of experts. The term 'bishounen' means, basically, 'pretty boy', and is usually used when talking of a male character who is almost femininely beautiful (and in many cases, may be mistaken for a woman). For example, while Nuriko and Hotohori of Fushigi Yuugi are bishounen by the strict definition, Tamahome and Tasuki are debatable. On this page, however, the term will be used fairly loosely to refer to pretty characters of non-female gender (which is not quite the same as male).

Our panelists:

Higashikunimaru Kentarou and Shuukaidou Takeshi, both members of class 1Z in the Senior High School on the CLAMP Campus. Coming from such a location, they have a lot of experience with bishounen.

Kentarou: Takepon, the idol cards finally arrived. Do you think we should sell them or just hand them out? There's instructions on the back about how to vote for you.
Takeshi: I thought I could get away from you if I came down here.. they were supposed to be baking lots of bread today..
Kentarou: You mean you haven't found the other entrance yet? Look, aren't these adorable? I can't decide between the real picture of you or the fanclub's artwork. They're all wonderful.
Takeshi: I'm not looking. I have a test tomorrow.
Kentarou: We're having shitajiki made too, but they haven't come in yet.
Takeshi: x over 4 times y..
Kentarou: You haven't finished that homework yet? Hey, do you want to see the information on who won this month?
Takeshi: Not really.
Kentarou: You'll have to see it sometime. He's not blond.
Takeshi: I'm so happy for you. Are you going to ask him out?
Kentarou: Wouldn't you be jealous?
Takeshi: ... Not really.
Kentarou: Well.. maybe I will then.
Takeshi: Good for you. Who's the lucky guy?
Kentarou: I thought you didn't want to see. Too bad, you might even know him.
Takeshi: It.. I didn't win, did I?
Kentarou: Want me to read it to you? A very talented individual, was readily accepted into CLAMP Gakuen...
Takeshi: I DIDN'T WIN, DID I?! Give me that!
Kentarou: So now you want to see it. Want help with your homework? You know, you'll get more accurate results if you carry pi to five decimal places.
Takeshi: Give me that!
Kentarou: Takepon! Erii said we weren't supposed to do ecchi things in here. As much as I love having you on top of me..
Takeshi: Stuff it, Kentarou. Hand it over.
Kentarou: Here. Here's the idol cards too.
Takeshi: You always make things so difficult! Hrm. Well, good, it's not me. Here, you can have it back. I don't know who it is.
Kentarou: It's really not fair. He went to CLAMP, he looks like you.. Takepon, he snatched sure victory right from your hands!
Takeshi: I'm happy to concede.
Kentarou: Are you saying he's the better man?
Takeshi: I'm saying he's the better bishounen.
Kentarou: Maybe I will ask him out. Is his phone number here?
Takeshi: I didn't look that hard. What's his name? You could always try the phone book..
Kentarou: You didn't look at his name? You didn't notice? That's one of those names you notice. Like Higashikunimaru.
Takeshi: I just looked at the picture.. what? What is it?
Kentarou: Hey.. says here he runs a magazine. We should get a copy.
Takeshi: What kind of magazine?
Kentarou: Hrm.. it doesn't say. But knowing the Imonoyamas, I'm sure it's something well-known and widely circulated.
Takeshi: I--Imonoyama?!
Kentarou: Imonoyama Tsuzuku.
Takeshi: They're gonna kick us out of the school for this..

Choukan: You're very prompt today.
Kentarou: Choukan! I hope we don't have a mission. Takepon's trying to finish his homework.
Takeshi: Choukan! I.. um.. no! I.. we weren't doing anything!
Kentarou: He probably saw when you jumped on me, Takepon.
Takeshi: What? It wasn't what it looked like! He had something I wanted.. I mean..
Choukan: Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha. Forget it you two. Head over to the south side of campus. There are some ninjas causing trouble.
Kentarou: Ninjas? Sounds like fun. Let's go, Takepon!
Takeshi: ... Hai.
Choukan: The others already left, Erii. But they left this month's winner if you wanted to get a look. Quite a resemblance to some of his other family members, don't you think?
